EGYPT, KUPANG TIMES - An Egyptian archaeological team has discovered the pharaoh's tomb, near Cairo, Egypt, which contains the oldest intact mummy in the world, which has never been found in Egypt.
The mummy, estimated to be 4,300 years old, was found in an old cemetery near Cairo.
Reported by Science Alert, the mummy allegedly named Hekashepes comes from the fifth / or sixth dynasty that spanned from 2,500 years BC to 2,100 BC.

The centuries-old mummy was discovered at a depth of 15 meters (or 49 feet) near the Djoser Pyramid in the Saqqara Necropolis, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Saqqara itself is located in Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt.
In addition to mummies, Archaeologists have also found items of archaeological importance.
Some of them, namely; the tomb allegedly belonged to Meri, a title for a "secret keeper" in royal circles and Khnum-djed-ef, a priest at the Unas Pyramid complex.

Reported by Business Insider, the discovery of the mummy occurred only one day after a different archaeological team discovered the ruins of an ancient city called Luxor in the south of Cairo City.
Good to know - Earlier this week, scientists also "digitally" opened a 2,300-year-old gold mummy using a CT scan.
As a result, the researchers gained new knowledge about how the ancient embalmers used amulets to protect the bodies of the dead.
On the other hand, this series of archaeological discoveries is one of the efforts of the Egyptian government to promote their tourism industry.
This is because the Egyptian tourism industry is sluggish after the political crisis that has occurred since 2011, and travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
