Kupang Times - Bullying is an act of oppression or violence that is intentionally carried out by one person or group of people who are stronger or more powerful towards another person, with the aim of hurting and is carried out continuously, causing the victim to experience depression and trauma.
And this bullying is still common in Indonesia, especially in education or schools.
According to the Study, International Student Assessment Programme, in 2018, 41% of 15 year old students had experienced, at least a few times, bullying each month.
As a result, the performance, or the quality of learning for victims of bullying, has decreased.
In addition to the decline in performance, or the quality of learning of victims of bullying, victims are also threatened, or prone to depression, or anxiety.
Every child is vulnerable to being a victim of bullying.
Therefore, it is important for Teachers, and Parents, to build good relationships with students, or children, such as; "Build communication with children, periodically, by asking about their activities, while at school, or in their play environment, and asking students, or children, what things are experienced by students, or children,"
If a student, or child is a victim of bullying, respond immediately and deal with the problem immediately, and make sure the bullying victim feels comfortable, to talk to you (teachers/parents) and provide support and motivation, of course according to the current condition.
