PAPUA, KUPANG TIMES - Former Commander of the Free Papua Organization, Lambert Pekikir responded to the alleged corruption case involving the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe.

"It is appropriate for the Corruption Eradication Commission to examine the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe for alleged cases of misuse of public money,"|Lambert Pekikir (Former Commander of OPM), on Tuesday (27/09/22)

"The government's firmness on this case will not make Papua volatile,"

"Currently, only Lukas Enembe's family is protecting him,"

"Other communities are waiting, whether the government can act decisively against Lukas Enembe, and how Lukas Enembe can prove his innocence,"

"The Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe should not be afraid to be questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission, if the person concerned is innocent,"

"If you feel innocent, and your health condition allows, I ask Lukas Enembe to turn himself in to be examined by the authorities,"

"And if Enembe is innocent, all of us people will stand up and demand his good name for being accused without evidence,"|Lambert Pekikir (Former Commander of OPM),

Previously, the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, had been summoned by the Corruption Eradication Commission to undergo an investigation regarding the alleged corruption case, on Monday (12/09/22).

However, Lukas Enembe chose not to comply with the Corruption Eradication Commission's summons, citing health reasons.

Three days later, Wednesday (14/09/22), the Corruption Eradication Commission named Lukas Enembe as a suspect.

A second call for an immediate inspection was carried out.

However, the Democrat Party politician did not attend as scheduled, on Monday (26/09/22), for the same reason.

Responding to Lukas Enembe's attitude, the former OPM Commander asked Lukas Enembe to set a good example for the Papuan people.

"Mr. Enembe gave an example, what is it like to be a good citizen,"

"If Mr. Enembe is innocent, why should you be afraid?

"If you're afraid it means nothing,"

"Use mass movement, again,"

“Is that an example of a good citizen.?”|Lambert Pekikir (Former Commander of OPM)
